Feast of Saint Augustine
I first saw this crucifix in a video to encourage young Catholics about their faith. I looked more information about it then I decided to purchase one for my bedroom. It’s a reminder of the pain Jesus bore and how heavy our sins are.
Also today is Saint Augustines feast day ~ one of the most inspiring saints for me.

Christ Has No Body
Come To Him
With you.
Love!
I am with you.
Psalm 100
Deceived
1 Timothy 6 : 7-10
For we brought nothing into the world, just as we shall not be able to take anything out of it. If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with that. Those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains.
Ill be the first to admit that I have fallen into the pit of worldly desires many many times. Wanting to have a grasp on anything I need to be happy. Of course that entire sentence sounds terrible right now but when I am in the moment of my humanly desires I ignore the reality and toss it to the trash. The first time read the first verse here “For we brought nothing into the world, just as we shall not be able to take anything out of it.” I was speechless because everything that was said there is true. People come and go and their names begin to be forgotten but gladly God our father never forgets his children. So why do we care so much to make a big name for ourselves. Why do we want attention from others to feel that we are worthy to live. Why do we love what is fake and not what is real. So many times when I fall I get so pissed off with myself and I begin to drift far from God. Everyday is a daily struggle, a struggle that can be something so beautiful if we let it be. Let our sufferings be for God not for this world.
You don’t even have to knock
Why do we question everything. Why am I questioning that question? I simply think that we always demand to know the truth and if it does not suit us then we quickly blot it out of our lives. We go against it. It is an easy fix for that moment. But then it comes back to us because we will again experience something that leaves us without any hope and we seek for something greater. Many times it is God. We expect to get quick answers even miracles. Since it mostly never turns out that way we simply give up. However God does not work the way we want him to.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways – Isaiah 55:8
Your probably like here we go with the bible talk. God is simple but we just seem to want to complicate everything. He made everything perfect but it did not turn out that way. He continued to want to make everything better by sending Christ. Christ came to show us the way so that we could see clearer as we once could have seen. Still after that we continue to be blind. We have been deceived for so long we can no longer see wrong from right. We live at a very fast paste, we expect everything to be quick just like the internet and everything else that is changing the world around us. But all this did not come from God. It was created by man. (God created us but not our thoughts and ideas) What I am trying to tell you is that our relationship with God is not going to be like the relationships we have with people here on earth. God wants you to come to him but he will never force you to do so. The answers to our questions might be right in front of our faces but we can simply choose to ignore them. I pray for you and I to never give up and when we feel as if we let God down for far too long to go back to him just remember we were never holding him up. He is always holding us.
Put on the armor of God…
“Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. Ephesians 6:11”
Somedays seem more intense than others. I mean it really is up to oneself. If I do not begin my day with prayer then evidently my day will not have the same meaning as if I did. My heart would be inspired by my wants not God’s. There are those days when everything seems to bother me and makes me want to quit life! (How does one quit life?… by giving into what the world wants of us) But then there are those most beautiful days when I want to live forever. It takes me some time to realize that I am most happy when I am living for and focused on the cross. It is when I go to God for guidance and for his forgiveness for my constant failures. In words I cannot explain how he makes me feel, you must live it yourself. When I finally decided to let God plant that seed of his love in my heart I would have never though of me becoming who I am today. But this is what is so amazing about God that he can DO ALL THINGS. He turns the wicked into good. Sometimes situations in our lives are tough and many times we feel as we are alone but we should always remember that Jesus went through so much suffering for the ultimate gift of eternal life. Jesus went through humiliation, abuse verbal and physical, people spit at him, laughed at him, his friends betrayed him yet he never gave up, he never gave into the devils lies. This is why we should go to Jesus because he has gone through it all. The image I captured above reminds me of myself . Of this person who tries to walk in the path of God but gets blown with worldly things every minute of every hour. But hey let us walk with confidence in God with him guiding our hearts and everything will be blown away.
