St. Augustine

This quote was taken from the book “The Confessions of Saint Augustine”. When I first read these lines I was delighted to hear the way St. Augustine used imagery to describe how God brings to an end our sins no matter how big they have been if we truly repent for them. It is also comforting to know that such a extraordinary Saint as Saint Augustine was at one point of his life one of us falling over and over again as he once said why do “we keep rolling around in the mud of our sins!”. Many times we become discouraged because we want to be perfect and sin no more but simply we just need to accept that is not possible for us. Only by Gods grace he will give us the all that we need to be better at avoiding sin. With this have been said I will encourage you to go reconcile with God by Returning to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In it we find God’s unconditional forgiveness; we are called to forgive others.
